I was tasked to create a poster of a musical artist that I looked up to for a fictional event that they were performing in. I decided to go for designing a poster for Queen in conjunction with a pride month fund raising event. I felt like it was relevant to the band because of the impact Freddie Mercury and the band has on the LGBTQ community. The poker cards are symbolic to the name of the band while the rainbow hands represent the LGBTQ community. I used a font with flourishes as similar fonts were prominent in the band's merchandise. The use of black was also inspired by their many album artworks while also helping the rainbow pop.
