Kenangan is the Malay word for memories. Living in a different country during 2020 was a huge challenge for a lot of international students, leaving many isolated and homesick.
Kenangan was a visual outlet for these emotions
Initial Concept Sketches
Phones were like a portal to me at that time in my life, being able to stay connected and feeling like someone was there with me. Audio that played when interacting with the phone were my personal recordings of happy memories.
Mapping of 3D Environment
The room was modelled after my bedroom in my share apartment at the time. I made the 3D models in Maya and designed the environment within Unity.
